A furious President Barack Obama ordered an internal review of Monday's low-flying photo op over the Statue of Liberty.

CBS 2 HD has discovered the feds will have plenty to question.

Federal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and Air Force One to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the public.

In a memo obtained by CBS 2 HD the Federal Aviation Administration's James Johnston said the agency was aware of "the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes" in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor's office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out.

What are your feelings on federal officials demanding the NYC flyover be kept secret by the NYPD and the mayor's office?

"To say that it should not be made public knowing that it might scare people it's just confounding," Sen. Charles Schumer said. "It's what gives Washington and government a bad name. It's sheer stupidity."

The flyover -- apparently ordered by the White House Office of Military Affairs so it would have souvenir photos of Air Force One with the Statue of Liberty in the background -- had President Obama seeing red. He ordered a probe and apologized.

"It was a mistake. It will never happen again," President Obama said.

The NYPD was so upset about the demand for secrecy that Police Commissioner Ray Kelly vowed never to follow such a directive again and he accused the feds of inciting fears of a 9/11 replay.

"Did it show an insensitivity to the psychic wounds New York City has after 9/11? Absolutely. No questions about it. It was quite insensitive," Kelly said.

The cost of the frivolous flight was about $60,000 an hour and that was just for Air Force One. That doesn't include the cost of the two F-16s that came along.

The mayoral aide who neglected to tell Mayor Michael Bloomberg about it was reprimanded.

That left-wing freak (journalist) Rosa Brooks was appointed to the Pentagon - by Obama - with no experience for her job position. Did this idiot have anything to do with the flyover - or keeping it secret?

Did Homeland Security know about the flyover - or Napolitano involved in keeping it secret?

Obama claims that he is doing an investigation - but will he? Americans deserve a full investigation into these meatheads - threatening sanctions - to keep it secret.

Evidently, there was a personal agenda to keeping the flyover secret - over and above being "protective" of Americans.

It also appears to me that the flyover was a veiled message from thugdom in the White House - and their pathetic appointees.

BO used fear when claiming we must hurry to pass the stimulus package - but did not have time to read it - as stated by a Harvard-eduated lawyer who claims to not read something as serious as this over the top stimulus package. TEA party events - (taxed enough already) - protestors - the Obama's administration's unexpected political dissent - demonized as right-wing extremists - by Napolitano as Obama's appointment to Homeland Security - unacceptable apology for playing games about returning American troops; using waterboarding and the prosecution of members of the former administration - as a smokescreen to - trying - to get eveyone off point in disagreeing with $1.3 trillion stimulus package - with Pelosi, Feinstein and Reed screaming the loudest about waterboarding - falsely portraying that no one knew anything about it -

as soon as Feinstein's husband was exposed for his "house-flipping" scam - and his company directly benefiting from $25 Billion from Obama's stimulus package - along with other improper earmarks and influence peddling.

Then an unsuspected flyover - kept secret - through the threat of sanctions - knowing it would cause emotional duress - as a reminder to everyone of the terrorist attacks of 9-11 - seems to be the low-dynamics - at work - again - of the Obama Administration.

Barack HUSSEIN Obama, Jr. falsely portrays himself to be a Christian - when everything about Obama indicates that he is Muslim -

similar to BO falsely portraying himself to be a natural-born U.S. citizen - "eligible" to serve as President of the USofA.

What I liked about this whole debacle was the spin that it was to "update" photos of Air Force One in front of landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, etcetera.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what in the hell has CHANGED that needed UPDATING? I think the Statue of Liberty looks pretty much the same as it's done for the last umpteen years, does it not?

So what, Air Force One suddenly looks different and would be unrecognizable if not seen in front of landmarks?

Not to mention that there's no way in hell Obama was unaware of what was going on; AND the fact that Air Force One MUST be available in case there's urgent need to speed the President away to safety, etcetera.
