Based on your personal experience, which ethnic groups do you find are the cheapest ones and why?

Keeping away from ideas of ethnocentric hatred, based on your personal experiences which ethnic groups tend to be the stingiest or cheapest and why? (When I state ethnicity that means a person's nationality, not race! If for example you say "Asians" are the cheapest that is not a valid answer since it does not make reference to a nation.) I am asking this question not in incite hatred against an ethnic group but to instead learn what makes people of certain nationalities to be considered "cheap" by many peoples standards. This is a lesson in culture and society. So what do you think? Which ethnicity is the cheapest? Please also include what country you are from and your nationality in the answer to this question.

P.S. I am not looking for people to start arguments against one another on here, this is meant to be a study and each person's opinion is as valid as the next.

When you say "Spanish" Grace are you talking in reference to the nation of Spain or the region of Latin America?

Strictly from my own personal experience I find the German people to be extremely frugal.

I am of English descent with some French and Scotch/Irish thrown in the mix.

The frugality of the German people may have to do with their age as much as anything. The German's I know lived through the great depression. From what I've read/heard about that; it would make the most generous person alive become frugal.

I am recommending you books as one of the cheapest high maintenance kind of American women that there is. I have been told the Jewish people are the most frugal but as an ole country girl with thousands of jars canned and gardening year round whose husband scraps for metal etc we pinch pennies so now for the book Total Money Makeover by David Ramsey, it is an awesome book and every year it is on my wish list. If i can get to Barnes and Noble then i can check out first procedure which i believe is save 1000.00!Next i believe is cut up credit cards 3rd i believe is only spend cash for vehicles, et al
