It starts out as white tubular growth and then the red emerses from it and then opens to the regular mushroom shape. I am curious if it is rare. Not much on the interrnet that I can find.Does anyone have any information on this beautiful fungus?</p>

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Melody Culler</foaf:name><yedda:age>58</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/1867154806112/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/images/defaultUserIcon_rmt9c1d22d.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>question</yedda:type></yedda:post>

RE: Beautiful RED mushroom

<p>i lived in the new england area for many years ma around the gardner area and found several of these in fields and mowed areas. as you know the bright red indicates danger!! i looked them up but i cannot remember the name but if ingested they will cause respiratory failure and nerve damage!! they are pretty but dangerous</p>

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Michael seminoff</foaf:name><yedda:age>50</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/7350361661100/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/images/defaultUserIcon_rmt9c1d22d.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/Beautiful_RED_mushroom_identifying_9514710211881/Beautiful_RED_mushroom_identifying_9514710211881" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>
