Just go into all program, then program accessories then pick restore. Or just search restore and go back to a week or two before you dropped you laptop and see if your info will come back with a new restore point. Good luck

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>snowyday</foaf:name><yedda:age>52</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/5041722610569/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/images/defaultUserIcon_rmt9c1d22d.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/Broken_Mp3s_Compressed_decomressed_5182131919972/Broken_Mp3s_Compressed_decomressed_5182131919972" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>

RE: Broken Mp3s

Ok, let's clarify.

Had to reinstall my factory disc after a BAD virus infestion

Saved music files to my desk top via a flash drive. I think in the process, because some of the compressed files hold lots of music files were to large, I opened compressed files and transfered the contents to the desk top as uncompressd..then back to my laptop via flashdrive....

My music files now show up as mp3 but will not play...when scanned with a program such as MP3rt they are listed as "broken"

The data is still within the individual music files...I just can not play them on ANY type of player.

Thanks again.

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Jerr</foaf:name><yedda:age>37</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/8628663411217/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/images/defaultUserIcon_rmt9c1d22d.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/Broken_Mp3s_Compressed_decomressed_5182131919972/downloaded_discs_hard_drive_495570137734110" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>
