You were not disiplined. Making a law suit will likly just cause you more problems.

As for the other employee. If he was in his probationary peroid of hire he can be fired for any reason at any time. As for notification of security cameras, in our area you need no notification if you own the property to set up survalence cameras as they are ment to detect outside crime as well as internal (employee crime).

Lastly and this applies to our area. you cant be fired for having an opinion that your boss is a jack ass or a lot of people would be out of a job. But if you were caught stealing (eating food you should be selling, taking supplies home etc) then you can be fired and should be.

Hope this helps

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>bannana</foaf:name><yedda:age>40</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/951860961348354/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/images/defaultUserIcon_rmt9c1d22d.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/Hidden_Camera_Surveillance_Laws_3507841517165/Hidden_Camera_Surveillance_Laws_3507841517165" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>

RE: My boss has a security camera w/audio and he fired ...

your boss tell you conversation is spied? it's illegal to spy others privacy. in office, it should be a regular security camera. not hidden one.
