I also feel like I can't ever eat enough and I am always hungry. I hear my stomach "growling" and it sounds like liquids are always moving around in my stomach which causes mild nausea. My bowel movements are regular and I have had no vomiting, but my weight fluctuates 5-7 pounds every few days. Anybody have any suggestions on what could be causing these symptoms and should I see my doctor? Thanks.

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Dan</foaf:name><yedda:age>32</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/951379201473386/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/images/defaultUserIcon_rmt9c1d22d.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>question</yedda:type></yedda:post>

RE: Indigestion problem

ITS A GOOD IDEA TO CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR .

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Roseann</foaf:name><yedda:age>64</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/1495170132656/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/images/defaultUserIcon_rmt9c1d22d.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/Indigestion_problem_health_862948646123607/Indigestion_problem_health_862948646123607" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>

RE: Indigestion problem

Acid indigestion is commonly referred to as heartburn and is a burning sensation in the chest or throat that occurs when stomach acid is backed up into the esophagus. A person who suffers from acid indigestion more than twice a week might be diagnosed with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which the muscles do not close tightly enough at the end of the esophagus, causing reflux. There are prescription drugs available as well as lifestyle changes that can be made to help get rid of acid indigestion.

Take over-the-counter antacids such as Maalox.

Step 2
Take over-the-counter proton pump inhibitors, such as Prevacid, to block acid production and allow healing in the esophagus.

Step 3
Avoid food triggers, such as alcohol. Keeping a food diary might help to determine which foods cause your acid indigestion.

Step 4
Eat smaller more frequent meals.

Step 5
Avoid lying down after meals.

Step 6
Quit smoking. Smoking can decrease lower esophageal sphincter function.

Step 7
Elevate the head of your bed six to nine inches.

Step 8
Maintain a healthy weight.

1
Peppermint - Peppermint tea contains menthol, the active ingredient that neutralizes acid and has a soothing effect on the lining of the stomach.

Step 2

Amla - Amla, also called Indian Gooseberry, is a great antacid. It prevents indigestion and controls the acid levels in the stomach.

Step 3

Licorice acts as an antacid
Licorice - Licorice acts as an antacid because it stimulates the production of the mucus that lines the stomach. It has a soothing, coating effect on the stomach as well.

Step 4

Tumeric helps reduce stomach acid.
Tumeric - Tumeric is a perennial plant of the ginger family. It is boiled and ground into a spice commonly used for cooking. Tumeric has many medicinal qualities including reducing stomach acid.

Step 5

Red Raspberry - Red raspberry helps settle the stomach is often used to treat morning sickness. It functions as a natural anti-acid and calms upset stomach.
