Islamists in southern Somalia have stoned a man to death for adultery but spared his pregnant girlfriend until she gives birth.
Abas Hussein Abdirahman, 33, was killed in front of a crowd of some 300 people in the port town of Merka.
An official from the al-Shabab group said the woman would be killed after she has had her baby.
Islamist groups run much of southern Somalia, while the UN-backed government only control parts of the capital.
This is the third time Islamists have stoned a person to death for adultery in the past year.
Al-Shabab official Sheikh Suldan Aala Mohamed said Mr Abdirahman had confessed to adultery before an Islamic court.

Can you imagine if all the cheaters and adulterers in America will be stoned to death? So many will die and the population in this country will be very low.

How about if this will be practised all over the world? The population will suddenly drop. Oh boy......

God forbid if Islam took over the world. Muslims are an oxymoron. They say they are for peace, but they breed terrorists. It's disgusting!

In my belief Islam is peaceful religion, but some misguided people are acting like they are policeman in their particular area just like Somalia, saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan and middle east. Muslims have to understand that there are more religions existing in this world and we have live with absolute brotherhood. Humanity should be stay on top. We have to obey all other religions.

The Imam—and an unidentified Muslim group, which he represents—has paid $4.85 million in cash to purchase the site of the old Burlington Coat Factory, located right around the corner from Ground Zero. An historic five-story building at 45 Park Place, it was damaged by wreckage from the landing gear of one of the passenger planes hijacked by jihadist Muslims, who cried “Allahu Akhbar” as they flew those airliners into the nearby towers of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

The Imam now plans to turn the site into a complete Islamic cultural center, which will cost upwards of $150 million and will include the mosque, a museum, gift-shops, and room for seminars to “reconcile” religions, to counteract the backlash against Muslims in general, and “to extend a hand,” according to the Imam’s wife, Daisy Khan, who told the German newspaperSpiegal that:

Indeed.

Where else could one build an Islamic cultural center and mosque so close to the site of, and so soon after, the largest terrorist attack in American history, in order to accommodate those wishing to pray to Allah for “reconciliation” for the murder of nearly 3000 innocent people—all slaughtered in the name of Allah?
