I always have to wonder how people who say God our Lord Jesus who died for all of us (I haven't met anyone who hasn't sinned yet) and the bible written by men inspired by God. Those who's heart and minds God has blinded say it a wonderful fuzzy feeling to believe the word is passed down through the generations and compare the possibility as equal to the game our teachers taught us where we repeated a sentence and passed in on and by the time it reached the end it was nothing at all how it started. They laugh and chuckle in their condescending tones in their pompous sympathetic mockery but they forget the difference is that the God we know created (yes even them) and the air we breathe and the ground they stand on and even the confused thoughts that conjure up their denial of their creater because they love their sin so much they couldn't bare to face the reality they have to face God one day because 10 out of 10 people die, yes they know that's true and it saddens them. Yes those poor lost souls forget the as this story, His story was passed down and in such primative means was recorded in perfect harmony from those who didn't even know the others existed plays out in such a sweetly orchestrated collection of truths withouth blemish or mistakes and the wonders never cease as science uncovers mystery after mystery only to discover it was already in the book written thousands of years before, but great lengths are taken to hush up those truths today because in their heart of hearts they know that one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Christ is Lord and then they will see that the Gods they often suggested the same god those other pitiful pathetic souls following another belief who actually believe in a god was not the real true God after all. The question that I have such a hard time with is with all the mocking and name calling and pompousness how can hey actually believe the utter nonsense that nothing became something and formed everything. That some explosion occurred from (well they don't say where the matter that caused the explosion came from or the matter than created the matter that created the matter which was once somethin g tha t c rea te and t he n it' si mp l y... I think I answerd my own question and their story that has been passed down succesfully over the thousands of years the earth has existed is soooo believable adn realistic. I now have so much hope, not that hope matters as our lives really mean nothing in the grand scheme of things because things are gradually getting so much better year after year after year after year.. If you could help me understand that would be great.. thanks

although I am not gifted with words of scripture as the first answer was- Iam as you seem to be filled with awe at our Lord's ability to inspire and strenghen. I have tried to find a church that will help quench my need to undrestand the words of our Lord- my God- man has hindered my quest by continuously straying from THE WORD to their opions which is quite irrotating and frustrating. what I have been doing on my own is reading the Bible - yes I just open the book and start reading -some how I seem to find it to inspire faith within me. No, I am in no way perfect or even close- I'll let all know that I probably won't be one of the lucky ones on that narrow path to be saved- I seem to wiggle on the edge not quite able to control my tongue proper or do exactly as I am suppose to. Yet I do try and try and try some more nevr to give up my faith in HIM. I would give only this advise to you- pray for those that irratate and frustrate you- as well as only study to make yourself closer to understanding HIS words. Have faith and God Bless you.

Your life here means everything in the grand scheme of things! Hope, and your strong Faith (here) are what lead you to God and eternal life! Never say to yourself or others; "I probably will never be one of the lucky ones on the Narrow Path to be saved! Or; "My life is meaningless." That is a lie that the enemy tells us.. and tries all of our lives to make us believe! God loves every single one of us. He gave us Life, He gives us every day of our lives to Repent of our Sins and come to Him.. come back to Him. To spread the Word of Faith, Forgiveness, and Eternal Life!

I has to read your reply twice- the first time I stopped in my tracks at that is a lie- in the second reading I believe I understand what you were trying to have me get. when I say these words of whhat I said NOT being one of those to be saved I was speakink to those that seem to KNOW more than the good book and the words in it. that is where the frustrations of MAN and his opinions seen to mean more than the words of the BIBLE. In the bible it state NOT to judge one another and yet so many take every chance to let others know that THEY are going to hell unless they allow them to save them- they say GOD in their words but they ultimately are talking ablout themselves and their church that can save. This kind of talk is what I find frustrating and irritating- the words of GOD are my comfort and I wish I could find people who feel the same around me. Until then I will study with the bible and myself. I hope this helps you understand what I ment with what I wrote. I do have faith and God Bless you.

Hi mommy of 3! I'm so happy to hear that you were just stating judgement the way others seem to judge you.... and you are right, we shouldn't stand in judgement of eachother that way! That is such an awesome thing you just said... because it has opened my eyes to something I never thought of before. When we stand in Judgement, we can mislead eachother into thinking we are out of the will of God! How aweful! I bet that is exactly why we are instructed not to judge eachother! Because it's like a stumbling block! Like Jesus told us; "How can the blind lead the blind, they will both fall into a ditch!" And; "Why are you trying to get the speck out of your brother's eye when you have a plank in your own eye?"

I agree with you mommy of 3. There is nothing like a Personal relationship with God. People who push Religion, Rituals, Idols... do nothing for us, but confuse the Truth.

I give you 2 thumbs up to your reply that you got the same eye opening to people and church leaders to use their influence on others tofollow their opinion instead of the words of God our father and Jesus, his beloved son who gave his life to teach us the way to become part of his father's ever lasting family after our life here on earth. Hi ladies, It was interesting to me listening to your comments based on a poorly thought out responce where I did drift around from topic to topic commenting on an aethiest suggesting which closely resembled what our great fomer Governor Mr. Jesse Ventura once said and that religion is just a crutch for weak minded people. On the contrary I know of more highly intelligent critical thinking people I know are Christians and Love Christ. I happen to be fortunate to ive in Minnesota and am able to attend a true biblically sound scriptural teaching church's who'd head pastor's name is John Piper. You are very correct in the fact that there are many hundreds of thousands of souls being led down the road to destruction by "feel good" false teachers such as Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen and this is the point I'm getting to "based on what the bible says" about judgment and judging others. The most commonly known scripture verse known amongst college students today is Matthew 7:1and just 20 years ago it was John 3:16. I noticed mother of 3 in your last post that in a sense you appeared to be judging annette, the very thing you don't want her to do to you and your beliefs. we know because God has opened our eyes and our hearts to him, thus, belief, or knowing Christ is real is only because He chose it to be that way. Ephs 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will. (Read the whole chapter) So we need to pray for those who's haven't been chosen. Do we believe for even a moment that Paul decided to become a Christian and chose to follow Christ? Not by a long shot. He was on his way to Kill Christians and on the road to Damascus Paul was blinded and thus "chosen" by Christ and his life was radically changed from that moment on.

My main reason and I have to keep this short because father of two needs to get boys to school in nine minutes. We are not to judge nonbelievers as they are already being judged by Christ but as believers we are to judge and correct and rebuke our brothers and sisters in Christ to keep each other on the narrow road. See 1 Cor below. You are right in not beleiving everything you hear but by reading on your own to verify what is said by others and like Bereans you will know the truth. 1 Corinthians 5: 11 But rather I wrote to you not to associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber -- not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? 13 God judges those outside. "Drive out the wicked person from among you." Do a search for John Piper and see his website Desiring God and search for his writings on just about any subject and I'm sure you will agree he's sound on all his teachings..

I agree entirely, "who are we to judge?" And we are Blessed to know Christ, and with that have the responsibility to Pray for unbelievers. Still, this being Yedda, I can never understand why non-believers seek out these types of questions to drop in their two cents worth...? It's like a Doctor critiqing a Carpenter. What's the point except to aggravate a group of people who are sharing their beliefs?

There are 100's of questions to answer here on this sight... Satan loves to come and attack these. It does stir some of us. So we must have mercy enough for all.

It's been nice to meet you and hear God's sound words of wisdom. We all need a little refresher course, a reminder of what is truly important don't we?

Isn,t a (NB)non-believer a potential Believer? Should'nt you welcome criticism and be flattered that out of those hundred of questions on the site something in the NBs makes them need to interact with you?. For the better/worse who knows,only time will tell. If you radiate a light, then shouldnt you expect the moths, and all other creatures/creepy crawlies (good/bad) to be attracted to it; and the fact you attract them, confirm your belief/faith that you have something thats attractive?

You're so right gazbrum. And as I read what you said I got chills all over my body.

I only wish there was no hostility in the process. There is so much judgement and harshness, name calling, accusations, and sarcasm... Honestly. Especially here on the internet. It hurts believers, in my mind, because we are only trying to share and learn from eachother... and then someone comes along and says something like "we're all weak-minded and only have ourselves to blame!.. There is no God!" etc.. etc..

Geesh! What in the world? And then when you do try to reach out, be kind and share the Word of God, well, they don't believe in the Bible! "It was written by Men!"... "Men on drugs who hated women."

I know we are supposed to extend our love and understanding, but when they come along out of nowhere, is that what they're really looking for? And by means of hostility?

I've been on Yedda for a while now, over a year. This Asha account here is fairly new, I had another before this... and it's become pretty easy to detect someone who is curious and someone who just wants to add their 2 cents. The 2 cent'ers are the ones I'm referring to. Whether it should really be bothering me or not I don't know yet.... I love being on Yedda, so believe me I've been praying about it. Maybe you were sent here to answer my prayer.

Well, the way I look at things is that you and others have a path to travel. A kind of yellow brick road that will hopefully take you to where you want to go in your life-trek. Along the way you will come across many different people/situations that will either test your strength of faith/belief, and will either try to push/pull you off your path, make you want to turn back, sow doubts, or ridicule you publically, even try to physically hurt/kill you. Not all of these will come in the hostile/aggressive form as people tend to expect. The equally dangerous ones are those who appear to be that angel of light. The ones apparently with all the answers; The fake preacher/leader etc etc who will through their apparent outward goodness will subtly try (over time)to lead you and others away from the path you seek to trek. Whether this is down to the Anti-God, or through your Gods will, (allowing you to be tested); Who knows. I wouldnt call myself a Christian, or give myself any other religious label. There are many, many others much 'GOODER!!!' than me Trust me!!!. But what I realise is that its too easy to get dragged off your path into foolishness/stupidity by meeting aggression with aggression, curse with curse, a slap with a slap etc etc immediately/unthinkingly in response; and your enemies know that. Conversely it will be difficult not to be dragged off your path into where you shouldnt be by those who apparently seem to want to help you along your way, then ask you to do something that helps them (in their apparent hour of need), but which again will take you away off your path. Your path/trek will also be crossed by other paths meant for others to take. Whether you decide to follow these paths or them; well thats for you and your conscience under the scrutiny of your God to decide. I suppose what im trying to say is that what you, Athiestsrshm-, and mommy of 3 etc, have decided to take on is a very difficult/tough life-journey so xpect it to be tough/harsh/rough/uncomfortable/brutal at times. So you fix your eyes on your target/path of where you want to go/achieve and if you meet other people along the way going in the same direction then fine. If they decide to explore other pathways away from yours then so be it, and continue on your trek. Hopes this makes sense to you. Regards. From a passing Moth attracted to that light!!!

what great inspiration to read such a positive answer to gather from those who choose to be non-believers. I find it interesting that they choose to comment on a subject of God and faith in Him -Gazbrum hit it on the teeder tauder of faith verses non-faith we truly do not know when or what makes a non-believer become a believer- or what may inspire one to change into a believer. as always keep the faith and God bless.
