Should I Give One More Chance to Childhood Sweetheart????

Since I was 11 ( I am now 19) i have loved one of my closest friends brother. We all grew up together. He and I wrote childish love letters when we were young but because I was an artist/musician and he a football player nothing ever happened. For a long time he has been with cliche tall blonde athlete girls but I know that he always still thought about me....but then again he never even tried to ask me out. We just grew apart as friends. I have moved away from my hometown but I what I need to know is if I should go back and see him again because he is now single. His sister is getting married and I could go back for the wedding and finally tell him how I have felt all these years...but there is a huge chance i could be totally rejected...should i take the chance even though that might happen??? I have never been the sappy type of girl that mopes about guys... im usually very independant and dont believe in soul mates and true love... but should i take the chance???Help!!???

Yes, I think that you have nothing to lose. I think that you should go to the wedding and stay in town a bit before and after the wedding. Give it a chance. Try to hang out with him and see how your connection is. Tell him that you'd like to spend some time with him, and that you'd like to talk to him. Let him know how you feel and ask him what he has thought of you all these years, and what he thinks of you now. See where it goes. Good luck!
