Pap smears are to detect cancer cells. This is not usually a test the doctor will no routinely. Most likely you will be tested for herpes, chlamydia, bacterial vaginitis, syphillis, ghonorrhea and HIV...through vaginal swabs and bloodwork. I am assuming you are receiving prenatal care...?  If so your doctor will tell you what tests are done and when. If you are not yet seeing a doctor, please be sure to get prenatal care right away!  Good luck to you!&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator>snazzeee</dc:creator><foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>snazzeee</foaf:name><yedda:age>51</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/6277515911603/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/images/defaultUserIcon_rmt9c1d22d.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/Pap_smear_health_parenting_518319363288376/think_stds_pregnant_nbsp_boyfriend_273403799111858" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post><pubDate>Mon, 11 Jan 2010 00:49:57 GMT</pubDate><guid>http://yedda.com/questions/Pap_smear_health_parenting_518319363288376/Generally_obstitrician_swabs_350782321174049?src=rss:qb:qbi</guid></item></channel></rss>
