On two occassons lately, I have had the most delicious salad and on top of the greens is a poached egg. The egg is shaped like a tear drop ( pear shape)  - it has a round bottom and then it comes to a bit of a point on top, like a stem. It is in the center of the greens and when one brakes into it - it adds the most awesome flavor to the salad. My question - how do they get the egg that way? It is not the usual shape of a poached egg.
