The police assaulted my son in my presence with no just cause and they inturn charged him with assault. My son never fought them never swung his hands or feet. I am sick as the misuse of power and abuse that I witnessed in North Attleboro and wonder can I file a complaint with the Police Cheif or something, Im scared because the department is corrupt and their reports chock full of lies and the prosecution and Judges in the Attleboro refuse to hear witness and see documentation. Only the Police words counts , I am scared living here as to what they are capable of. I have no money to move, what is my recourse???

Contact your state attorney's office and ask them if there are any lawyers you can speak with about this that would defend you for free or at the least give you legal advice. Good luck.

Yes, it's time to see a lawyer. Definitely. Or perhaps contact the ACLU. If you don' have the financial resources, the ACLU generally doesn't charge if they decide to take a case.

Yes you can, File a complaint with The Police Commissioner, The Chief of Police, Internal Affairs, The Attorney General in you City, State and make sure you keep a copy of your complaint. If you can't trust anyone in your area, call CNN and report the incident. Always ask for all persons in the chain of command, Get their names badge# and the reason they are being detained or arrested. Always ask for their business cards, this will give you a hint of who to talk to next. Make every effort to be present when they have a panel meeting or court date.

Nothing can be done: I know this for a fact. I was put into Jail for 3 days and i was not told what I had done wrong. Had a jury trial and I was told I flee and Luding the police and I was just going into my home and did nothing wrong. The Police kicked in doors and shot up the home with a taser gun and said I was a felon because, I did not stand in the drive way and let him shoot me with a taser gun. I went into my home because I had to use the rest room. The police officer cried in court and said it was like he was going through the tunnel of death while he was going after the felon. My lawyer said so what did mr. Staley do that you feel he was a felon, then he cried and said I just looked suspicious because I had on a leather coat, this was a cold winter day and the coat was warm. The jury found me guilty and now, I am on probation, can not drive for one year, I have to do community service and I have to pay over 8 thousand $$ in fines and this is because Of wearing a leather coat. The Judge was a Leo Bowman in Pontiac Michigan and the Lawyer was a Leon Weiss from the Jeff Fieger Law Firm and he charged a 10 Thousand $$ up front money first fee, no payments. It looks like the Lawyer and the Police were in on this together, I was even told if I did not sign a pager from the Lawyer of the Police, I would have to go to Jail, so I did sign because I sure did not want to go back to jail. While in Jail, I need my medication and I did not get it and I got very sick and no one cares. The lawyer said the Jury found me guilty and the case is close. Good luck to you and your son, I know how you feel. This happen in bloomfield Hills, Michigan and I will never donate money to the Police and trust another Police officer and Justice system in Michigan again. It is not right and it is just wrong.
