I've chanced both heating elements, and it stayed set for a month. It started tripping again, so I chaged the actual switch, and that lasted for about 2 weeks, and its tripping again. The water heater is about 4 years old. Am I missing something else? The reset button senses the water temp and clicks off if he water becomes too hot. You either have a bad thermostat or a bad temp sensor. These items are not expensive and are easy to replace.&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator>DubsVet</dc:creator><foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>DubsVet</foaf:name><foaf:gender>male</foaf:gender><yedda:age>58</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/4950539160211/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/resources/00000029340/8cc39bb37374e1a.jpg" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/Red_reset_button_water_heater_149035113392865/Red_reset_button_water_heater_149035113392865" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post><pubDate>Sun, 08 Nov 2009 15:39:24 GMT</pubDate><guid>http://yedda.com/questions/Red_reset_button_water_heater_149035113392865/Try_turning_temp_bit_solves_problem_951474051418381?src=rss:qb:qbi</guid></item></channel></rss>
