Revised Question for Vasectomy in NYS

I have a friend who is 39 years of age. He has 7 children and would like a vasectomy. The problem is his health insurance. He recevies Social Security Disability benefits and receives some form health insurance from Medicare. I've tried to find him a doctor who takes his health insurance but no one in Central NY seems to take it. I checked with the local Planned Parenthood but they do not cover Vasectomies in their Men's Health Services program. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There should be a Urologist out patient clinic that might be able to help him , Or possibly find a Urologist who is willing to accept payments by charging his procedure

A vasectomy is not very expensive, usually only a few hundred dollars. When I looked into a specialized nonevasive vasectomy it was only going to cost around $400. The "standard" vasectomy is usually around half that. Though prices might vary from area to area. Does he have a lot of friends and family that would be willing to chip in to help pay for it? If 20 to 30 people gave $10 he would be on his way to the doctor.
