Political correctness is damaging our nation and killing our people. We can't criticize President Obama on his policy agenda without absurd accusations of racism, and now our authorities' first instinct after the mass murder at Fort Hood is to victimize the identified shooter — Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan — rather than to protect our soldiers.

This reminds me of how for so many years Israel was (and still is) criticized for profiling because of security reasons. I much prefer to be safe and protect my family rather then having to defend an individual's freedom after a bomb goes off that he or she planted.

I noticed that the military is calling the victims at Fort Hood "heroes." I wonder what made them heroes? I would say that they are victims.

I hope you all don't hate me for saying this, but there is, unfortunately, no mention, in connection with this incident, what might have motivated this shooter. He is a Muslim and we were lied into a horrible war in Iraq in which we killed and wounded hundreds of thousands of Muslim Iraqis, and largely ruined the country. We even tortured Muslims. If you were, say, Irish, and we did similar in Ireland, you might be pretty pissed.

Politically correct is only as good as what politics stand for. If you redefine the meanings of our constitution and what Morality is, then being correct is being incorrect but it is not incorrect because it now is correct and correct is incorrect if you still know what correct is and if you do tell somebody.

I think fort hood was a terroist attack .Other wise he would have targeted those responsible !Why target our solders before deployment they did not taunt or insult him. If they would have they would have faced punitive charges or even court marshal, the milatary does not tolerate insubordination of a superior officer not even the slightest infraction.this was a deliberate act of an enemy combatant! a traitor to our country ,and the oath he swore to.Now he gets a forum to voice his hatred and his self rightous indignation .Its the media that will give him his pulpit to preach . He should be shuned, there is a real danger of inspireing others to plan their own attacks.I really feel this man was an independant self appointed terrorist cell. now anyone who feels the call to do their part may follow suit .is the difference between a moderate and an extremist one feels the call the other not yet?this man was highly educated in psycology he knows just what to say to make it seem as if he was distraut .I think it was premeditated carefully planned .I do not think that he should be tortured or treated inhumanely in any way,but be dealt in a swift and strong way without giving any terrorist aforum in witch to fertilize this evil so it grows.I m sorry about the grammer i'm just learning to type, and i'm not very computer literate

This has to be one of the silliest questions I have ever read. It is impossible to pick up a newspaper, listen to a televsion commentator, or read a blog without coming across criticism of the President - no different from when former President George W Bush held office. You are letting your political leanings interfere with your sensibilities. Try spending time on real issues. There are lots of them.
