Published in 2009. Evolution clearly is the secret to the origin of man-- Homo Sapien. </p>

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Physicalist</foaf:name><yedda:age>66</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/504191063969924/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/resources/00000029717/8cc41e42e669602.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/Tree_Time_Built_Celebration_Nature_951085811592368/idea_reason_read_say_scientific_273033738916250" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>

RE: The Tree That Time Built: A Celebration of Nature, Science, and Imagination

<p>To Dalarie--What are some of the ideas that the author sets forth? Does the author have a background in evolutionary biology or theology? If there is a contention that he will explain evolution in terms of intelligent design or creationism then you know it is a religious and theological perspective that is offered. In that case, you are wasting your time, energy and resources on the book. Get a pure science book on evolution. The one written this year by Richard Dawkins is the best but it is real science. You have to think and study. It does not provide propaganda that is easy reading from creationists. They are accustomed to simple explanations whenever there is the slightest gap in science. Reference to a 2000 yr old text that they represent as science is not unusual. The book has clearly been discredited by the science of modern professionals. </p>

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Physicalist</foaf:name><yedda:age>66</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/504191063969924/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/resources/00000029717/8cc41e42e669602.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/Tree_Time_Built_Celebration_Nature_951085811592368/book_evolution_Greatest_Earth_862727508173571" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>
