Dear folks at Yedda,

even if nothing positive happens to resolve my delema,I want to take this oppertunity to thank you for leting me vent and get things off my chest The bldg, next door to my house was once a gas station It was also used for auto body work and painting. The property that the Industrial and Fire Department of L&I banned the previous owner from storing food . It was only because thier,[The New World Mall 7Th. & Washington Ave. Philadelphia Pa. 19147]ten year tax abatement expired and the property became a liabilty .that made them desperate to unload it. The seller got two state inspectors to give the property a clean bill of health. I want to know what right does the state have to override a Federal regulation put in place to safegaurd the health and well being of a comunity, and why the new owners were allowed to change the face of the building without a zoning notice or bldg, permit posted. 01 22 08 . the water and sewer pipes ruptured flooding my basement. My heater and hot water heater were distroyed and about $5000 worth of personal property damage, My health was impaired. I lost bowel and bladder control.My blood pressure rose to 160 over 80 and my PSA went from a six to an 11 in just 27 days when I was without runing

Please keep in mind ,at a meeting The new world mall was voted down by more than 2/3 majority the same majority that got Di Cicco elected And at the Zoning board with 60 people protesting against the mall dictator Frank Di Cicco walks in with one lady and says " I think the mall will be good for the neighborhood ," and a 100 name petition,which may as well be toilet paper was never submitted .

I am writing to you on behalf a citizen that lives in Philadelphia and wrote the following via a social web site called Yedda –

If there is one thing that I can't stand is when we are taken advantage of by City Hall and those working for the government. If you don't hear from someone, I will gladly contact a consumer organization or the media. I have done this in the past, and I have gotten positive results. After all, what do we pay taxes for?

Dear mark. I know exactly how you feel. The way city government spat in the face of lifetime buisnesses at the no longer existing Italian Market was a discrace and thats putting it mildly The Italian Market was a national landmark and city treasure for more years years than I can remember. Tourests from all over the world, when arriving in center city would ask " where's the Italian Market?" Do you think anyone from out of town or country is going to ask Where's the nineTh. St. Market. I doubt it. IF you are interested in the undererhanded dirty tactics city councle used to force people out, drop me a line and I will name names and events. To get back to my case , I am about to be in touch with a lawyer and I don't want the press involved untill I get the go ahead from him. If you can possibly put me in touch with John Pease Prosecuting Attorney In the Fumo corruption case or a contingency Lawyer in center city Philadelphia I would appreciate it . My lawyer bailed out bailed out due to a family emergency.He said he couldn't help me not that I didn't have a case. I never recieved a reply from the Mayer's office. The plumber who works at the gas station claims he never got a shut of notice .and the water didn't come from his building. I was there when the inspector turned off the water and gave them the notice. I borrowed it and made a copy. I found out later that the water was turned on illegally they were ordered and complied to replace all the pipes in the building. i am worried about the pipes under ground they are over a hundred years old and havent seen used in over 40 years. If they rupture, I will not survive another flood

Thank you for your prompt reply. I had a form and a letter with a case # on it I missplaced the Letter but I still have the form. Do I need to submit both?

The reason I wanted to get in touch with Mr Pease was to congratulate him on the sucessful prosicution of the Fumo case. I don't think he went far enough. I would like Mr.Pease to look into the underhanded practices and select enforcement by the less than honerable Frank Di Cicco.

Now that I am no longer being represented, It is ok to go to the press.

Dear Mark, Idon't recall who said "No taxation without representation' I'm sure had no idea how rough taxation with representation could be. Is lynn Abrams still in office? I think I read somthing about her planning to retire. I haven't been able to reach Mr Pease all my Emails have been returned. I just thought if I wrote her that mabe she could foward the letters i wrote to him. There was a question regarding documentation I wanted to send you. I dpon't know if you recieved it because of an error at Yedda. The question was deletted and I don't know if you sent an answer.Please resubmit the reply. If you didn't recieve the question,let me know and I will submit it again. Also now that I am without legal councle, and if you feel it will help, please notify the press. Here's a thought, I am not the only victem in this case.The people who bought the bldg. were swindeled. They were givin a clean bill of health by two state inspecters and all reecords of the buildings existance every ware have been removed. without a zoning notice or bldg permits, except for work on sidewalk ,have not been posted.
