I don't know of any Federal Government Jobs handing out any layoff or furloughs. I did see a lot of State's have major layoffs and it caused many services no longer are covered. In my state many state workers were laid- off and the state had not one job listed on the website for jobs in the STATE! (still does not have any job posting for State Jobs)!!

Oh it says in my unemployment booklet that Railroad works are self insured under their guide lines and not eligible to collect under State unemployment.

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>meowkats</foaf:name><foaf:gender>female</foaf:gender><yedda:age>52</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/4950197168411/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/resources/00000023890/8cc4fbbd1c80e68.jpg" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/government_politics_735634168936140/government_politics_735634168936140" /><yedda:rating>4.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>

RE: If state governments have forloughs and layoffs ...

Yeah, so state governments simply have forloughs and layoffs.

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Brice Caouette</foaf:name><yedda:age>27</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/862056419173705/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/images/defaultUserIcon_rmt9c1d22d.gif" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/government_politics_735634168936140/TRM_Great_Question_Federal_350740361751842" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>

RE: If state governments have forloughs and layoffs ...

B"H

Not really (though I do think his fiscal policies are economic suicide). I think more than anything it shows that states have followed a poor plan of action, mismanaged their funds and are now paying for it. Capitalism is self-correcting if we let it work and stop bailing out the dead wood that burdens and slows down growth. It works in botany and in economics.
