Its a long story please read and help

I will tell u my story in details I hope u can help me please.I am 27 years old from an arab country in the middle east.i get to know him since 1999 and he did the impossible to be close to me but because I am from an arab country that has traditions I refused any relation and concentrated on my studies although I loved him.he decided to go to USA in 2003 to continue his studies and I said he will forget me but everytime he used to come to our country he used to come back to me because nothing on earth made him stop loving me.i accepted the relation with him and he went back to USA to finish studying and stayed there for 3 years without coming to our country and I was waiting for him and we waited till he came back in 2006, when he came back he decided to talk to my parents and we got engaged and he decided to go back to USA to finish his masters and come back.during this time my family and his family too were pressing on him coz he made me wait all this time and he is still without stable job.he was just working any different jobs to finish studying and come back and work in our countryhe felt himself as a loser because he family was saying this to him, .he came 2 months ago and was so depressed seeing himself that he is a loser and I deserve better that him.he refused even to got out with his frinds.we were separated but he told me that no one will take my place.and he ws telling his friends that he will not promise me of anything until he gets his master and finds a job.before travelling again we met and he said that he is stressed and must get his degree and find a job.now he is back to USA and needs 2 months to get his degree but a week ago he was depressd again and told me we must be friends and I can not wait for him anymore.now we are chatting and emailing as friends, and he is helping me in some work so its business between us and sometimes when I send him email he waits till the second day to answer me as if he is escaping, and sometimes I his emails he call me(darling ) and (my love) but I guess these are words he says to all his friends and not something special to me.i am depressed and do not know what to do, should I wait or he will really only be my friend, I am sad help me

This man is too wrapped up in his own life to have the time to make a life with you. He will never marry you and if you continue to wait, you will miss out on many good years of your life. If you are smart, you will cut off all communication with him, as even talking business with him is re-opening a wound that clearly has not had time to heal.
