There are two types of molar pregnancy: complete and incomplete. A complete molar pregnancy has no baby, placenta or amnionic sac. It looks like a growth growing inside of the woman's uterus.

The other type, instead occurs when one egg has been fertilized by two spermatozoa or if the sperm carries 46 chromosomes instead of 23. When the embryos develop, tissue abnormalities occur. A partial molar pregnancy looks like a uterine mole containing tissues like bone, hair, teeth. There is no amniotic fluid, and not heartbeat. It is detected by ultrasound when no baby is present.

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Airam</foaf:name><yedda:age>40</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/495425937548114/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/resources/00000034216/8cc6a5cd39ffb90.jpg" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/pregnancy_parenting_273583818211485/pregnancy_parenting_273583818211485" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post>
