Both our mother and her husband have demonstrated the ability to cruelty, breaking the law, and our mother has always used men to hoist herself upward socially and financially. These are not reasonable or ethical people, though present themselves as church attending, upstanding citizens, friends with all of the right people. There are those who would NEVER dream of considering they would do anything deviant, much less murdering someone.

How likely or unlikely, given just this information, do you believe it is possible or probable they killed my stepdad by hiring someone to sabotage his airplane causing it to crash. The airplane, and bodies of he, his friend, and two sixteen year olds, were not found for six weeks. It was determined the engine was still running when the plane broke up on the ground. In 1974, this was considered "proof" enough of it being accidental, case closed. Currently, from what I have read, it is quite easy to sabotage a small, private airplane, and not only by causing engine failure. The same is not true, of course, of commercial airplanes. Our mother is the kind of narcissistic, to be kind, who would go a long way not to be "shamed" by a court battle over a child that she would most certainly lose due to many documented facts and witnesses. Would she have gone so far as killing in your gut feeling?

<foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>Dangerblonde</foaf:name><foaf:gender>female</foaf:gender><yedda:age>51</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/1496102102256/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/resources/00000019690/8cbb385a8fb54f4.jpg" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>question</yedda:type></yedda:post>

RE: My sister believes our mother and her current ...

I think that it's possible enough that you're right to be concerned.
It is also reckless endangerment: if that sabotaged aircraft hit a building and the occupants were injured or killed, that would create yet another laundry list of criminal charges.

It is best to take your information directly to your District Attorney or Prosecutor.

The elevators and rudder controls are easy to sabotage at any given point in flight and indeed the engine only provides power to the plane, not control! This sound like what is normally called a lot of circumstantial evidence, happenings that evolve out of a set of circumstances. Without hard factual evidence it is very hard to determine whether she is or whether she isn't. A person can fit the profile of a killer but this does not necessarily mean that they would go through the actual act of murder or any other crime for that matter. You obviously have a lot of personal feelings involved in this situation but unfortunately I don't know what you can ever do to prove anything. Speculation is very inexpensive but proving a case can be both extremely expensive financially as well as emotionally. In my opinion life is too short to chase these types of things without hard evidence. Please don't rob yourself of your productive life while obsessing over this situation. If you do come up with some proof then of course act on it. I wish you all the best.
