Why do the Republicans dislike Obama or why is this mainstream society do?

A am a Black American and born and raised in one of the Confederate states and you can believe that the hate against Black Americans here in this country. For what reason is ECONOMICS; MONEY. I went to segregated schools, sit in all-black sections in the movie, swan in segregated pools in the 50s and 60s and any person in their right mind would believe by that time RACISM and Color Prejudice would be dead by now. This one of the most critical issues I ever challenge. In regards to this BLACK President the mainstream society are truly showing what they are really about. You do not have to go to college to figure this one out. No one I mean absolutely no one knows what's in anyone's heart only what you write with your pen, what you say with your mouth and the way you act against other people of color, especially the BLACK AMERICAN which has suffered tremendously by the hands, the tongues and the pens that so many RACIST Authors will never think that a Black can't read. In order for the Black man not to know what the mainstream society thinks of him. This Black president has received multiple death threats because the mainstream society always believe he's the only person that is able to run this country. This is more the Black man's country besides the American Native to enjoy as well. This why I wish the news media and other groups stop calling negroes African Americans. All those ancestors are not here any longer. Today is a new call.

I don't understand this infatuation everyone has with a black president. Why do you assume that people don't favor Obama just because he's black? That's the first problem with your failure to understand why half the country doesn't like him. Your second problem is that you yourself are racist. Yes, I said it, you're a racist. When you look at Obama, you only see a BLACK man on stage, and that's all you care about. You prove it's true every single time you accuse someone who disagrees with him of being a racist. It's probably shocking to you that I call you a racist, because it doesn't occur to you that racism can and does go both ways. I don't mean it to offend though.

Now on to me, and how I think most others that oppose Obama see it. First of all, please understand that there are some people, probably quite a few that hate him just because he's black, I'm not talking about those. You also need to realize this is a president that started off with close to 70% approval and now has 49%, did that 20% that changed their minds suddenly become racists? I'll bet not. When I look at Obama, I don't see a BLACK man. I see a MAN. I also see a socialist who is a threat to our freedoms, free market, way of life, and traditional American values. I see yet another arrogant elitist who cares only for himself, just like all the presidents in the last century. I see someone who hates America and what it has always stood for and wants to change that to something else. I don't oppose Obama just because he's black. I oppose Obama because he's an idiot, who has somehow managed to make Bush like a genius. I oppose spending that makes all the spending of the last 2 decades look like small change. I oppose the MAN'S policies, not the color of his skin. Frankly, I'm tired of being called a racist every time I speak up. I'm not, I don't care if he's white or black or yellow, or a damn duck, if I don't like what I'm seeing, I have a right to say so without being slandered by my fellow Americans. If you ask me about an Obama policy I'll give you a list of plain reasons why I don't agree with it, and none of them will be "because he's black"

He, and you, and the rest of the liberals love to throw out the race card and screech we should follow Obama in their shrill little voices. Follow him why? I'd have to assume their reason for following him is because he's black, because they sure love to tout that fact. This is the true racism. If we had truly risen above the color divide we'd follow him for some other reason. We wouldn't accuse our fellow Americans of being "racists" because they don't agree. No sir, it isn't the right that hasn't risen above color, it's the left. The people that point out Obama is black every chance they get, tell me how that has transcended racism. If we had truly, really truly come to a point where race doesn't matter, Obama's race would be no big deal. In short, climb down off your mighty racist horse and face it, American's don't agree with Obama's policies, not his race. Do yourself and the rest of us a favor and respect that opinion, debate that opinion, disagree with that opinion, but DO NOT insult your fellow citizens by calling them racists, it's small and petty. I've never been so ashamed of my country as I have in the last few months watching this government insult and demean it's citizenry. This is not the America I grew up in.

Wow no race involved every time a Democrat comes into the presidency people seem to be ready to jump and expect instant changes change is time built. versus when a Republican comes into the prsidency we are told to shut up and quit whining mean while for the last 4 Republican presidents have dramatically had an adverse effect on the economy. now as Democrats are concerned they had an adverse affect on the social aspect of things like we are created equalwe should benefit from the same(UNLESS YOU ARE LAZY THEN YOU DESERVE NOTHING)in which they want to give things away. I believe you have to earn the things you get no matter what life is not free whether you live by money or you live by psychological issues there is and always will be a cost. Now to you Dis i believe that he wants the best for the lower income people who do try to improve their own quality of life but keep getting pushed down by the ELITEST because of a different background. Do you know who really were the ones that put Obama in office? It was the ghetto aka the poor because they needed someone to believe in someone they felt a common interest with these people never believed in politics they stayed completely out of it and crimes got more haneous aka 9/11 because there was only a 1 sided view. these people now show they really do care on the future of this country but will no longer get pushed down that is what it is really about =. but the only way some can express that is the race card(not right just mis understood). The question is are we going to continue to be apart and have are internal conflicts because nothing has changed except the slowing down decline of the economy in which happened to start with the previous president. And i really wonder if half of the country is truly wanting him to fail. But finally if HE FAILS WE FAIL AS A COUNTRY HE IS OUR PRESIDENT. And please be real here do not say he is not my president i did not vote for him because no matter what 1 or more of the people you work with have. So with that said we need to verbally speak up about the everyone gets everything for free factor and promote the self improving saying this is what you can have Not everyone can afford or have the capacity/patience that does no make us dumb. i did not have the patience for college and yes i struggled without insurance for several years until recent i kept improving myself. and the determination was not there i would have fallen on my face and not been able to get up. I wish i could have gotten help with insurance back then but there was no help tha they gave me so now with a good job my credit is screwed because i could not pay the doctor bills which sucks i have had over 50,000 dollars in doctor bills that had a real affect on the current when my life is straight even if i paid them off now my credit is screwed for years to come i can even file bankruptcy on those.

Hi Charles,

I am an African American also. I cannot tell you why the Republicans hate this particular President but it was evident from day one when he took office. They have never even tried to support him. They try and put it on his policies but they banded against him right after he took the oath. The word came out early that they wanted him to fail and they have tried everything they know how every since they made that comment.

What that congressman (Wilson) did the other night tells the whole story. The bible tells us that what is in a man, will come out, either love or hate. He could not keep that hatred bottled up in him any longer, so he exploded. You must realize that a lot of those Caucasian conservatives have never had a black man above them. Blacks were always beneath them, and as long as they were beneath them, there was no problem.

If I were you, I would not let it get to me. In this world there is always going to be prejudice and racism. Our only hope is that our children, the younger generation can be better than these past generations and see a person for their integrity and not by the color of their skin.

I am not saying that all Caucasians are prejudice because they are not. There are prejudice African Americans too, so the blame can go both ways. It is stupid and I blame it on pass ignorance and the way that some people were brought up by their parents.

I do believe that the reason so many want this President to fail is because of racism. They can call it what they want to, but it is pure racism. Look at the school situation this week, some parents actually kept their kids out of school rather than have them listen to the President tell them to study hard and stay in school. The thing that is so ironic, is that Bush is speaking to a stadium full of kids this month and they are being bused to hear him speak. You don't hear anyone talking about keeping their kids home. It is just hatred towards this particular President. They can sugar coat it all they want to, but I call it like I see it "RACISM'.

I went to school in the 50's and 60's also and I experienced racism first hand. I can tell you now, that it feel like deja vu, been there done that, I know what it looks like, because I was there.

Can I ask you a question? Did you vote for Obama? If so was it because he was black? Please I really want to know. I know there are problems in America and the black and white thing will never go away. And I have seen blacks that are prejudice, it fills all lives not just one color. I really wish it didnt exist.

It seems to me the republicans have been duped into thinking that Mr. Obama has some special type of constitutional powers. Republicans, to their shame, believe that Mr. Obama is going to change this country into a Socialist Society. Well, the last time I looked at the US Constitution that would be an impossibility. It would take 75% of congress to do that and by my estimation 95% of congress will have nothing to do with that idea. This is not the first time conservatives have cried "Socialism" and it won't be the last. They were wrong then and they are wrong now. No wonder their party is shrinking. It is getting to where the so called "Liberal" media is airing the far right so much that they are helping to spread the lies of the disenchanted few. The reason, what republicans that are left, hate of this president seems to be "Idiology". Conservatives have a built in aversion to "We the People" unless those people are them, they will side with business 8 times out of 10. President Obama seems to be for the "People" and this scares the bejeezus out of those who only look at their own circumstances and say: Everythings good here, I got mine. Cut my taxes. It seems that only simple people require simple solutions.

Anyone who thinks racism has been solved in America is a fool.

I do think some of the hate against Obama IS because he's black. But I think a lot more of it has to do with the fact that he won and they lost. And they lost BIG. They're arrogant and blind and don't seem to live in any reality I can recognize, and are completely out of touch with any American citizens who don't happen to be rich or disagree with them.

I'm a white American. I didn't support Obama because he was black, but because he's the first politician in a long long time who seemed to want to do something useful and positive. And I'm really really tired of old white guys who think things are just fine and should go on just the way they are. Change or die. It's a law of nature, and the conservatives don't seem to want to change anything.

Before I give you the answer to your question, Let me ask you one. Do you think "Obama" has a mind set any different than any of the past heads of government. If you really stop and let your your mind relax, the only answer, you can truthfully come up with is, like all the rest, he's the same.

The only reason that there is a black leader heading government is because the 1% of our population just happened to find someone like themselves, GREEDY, and who isn't ashamed to say yowsa master as long as he gets the end trailings left behind for him to enjoy. Because what he is being given to do their bidding is far more than he could have ever hoped to have had if he had not given himself to the enemy.

Another point to ponder, who better to put into the seat than someone with his genealogy, (having the same sir name as Saddam.

The people, who we are too stupid to see through have landed another super tuna and again has accomplished it because we let them keep us at each others throats while they slipped in another one of their ringers; someone that they are sure will not go against them in any way and why is this? because he sold himself to the powers to be and he never attended PRINSTON (SKULL and BONES).

This brings up another point to ponder, why do we want to allow these things to happen without anyone ever having the hairs stand straight up on the back of their necks when they realize what we have let them do too us once again.

So, charlie, remember what I just told you," NO ONE IN WASHINGTON DISLIKES THE BODY THEY PUT INTO OFFICE.

It seems that the ones rushing to answer this question are democrats, black or both. Most intent on slaming the republicans in denense of Obama. I think it is time to let a republican answer the question that is obviously aimed at them. I am regestered as a republican but I vote my mind. I came very close to voting for Obama, until his birth certificate was sealed (A public record) and his college thesis was sealed. He spoke of his Muslim oops Christian faith. Because I did not vote for him and don't agree with him I am considered to be a bigot. My president called me a bigot, I heard it myself, no one had to tell me he said it. My president also called me a bible hugging, gun toting, thug, again I heard his words loud and clear. I don't respect a President that goes about calling names like a seven year old kid. Obama doesn't use the seal of the President of the United States. How many more reasons do I have to have to dislike someone. The President should not be a democrat or republican but should divorce hims self from political parties and be the President of the people.
