In fact, delaying the start of class by even 2 minutes can push some children into a behavior. I have been an autism therapist for 10 years and presently work in an autism school with a ratio and set-up very much like yours. Although all the particulars are not always set in stone- most things are very planned out and structured for our kids. They HAVE to be. I am sure your spontaneous play would be prefect and very much needed in a mainstream school, but in the class you are in it is just the opposite. Give it time, get to know the students well, and then you will be able to find those whom are more flexible and will appreciate the change of pace and added fun.&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator>MoriYah</dc:creator><foaf:maker><foaf:Person><foaf:name>MoriYah</foaf:name><yedda:age>35</yedda:age><foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://yedda.com/people/9511622212381/?src=rss:qb:ap" /><foaf:img rdf:resource="http://static1.yeddacdn.com/resources/00000018431/8cb792d73aa8190.jpg" /></foaf:Person></foaf:maker><yedda:post><yedda:type>answer</yedda:type><yedda:thread previous="http://yedda.com/questions/start_preschool_planning_5181100213273/start_preschool_planning_5181100213273" /><yedda:rating>3.0</yedda:rating></yedda:post><pubDate>Sat, 04 Apr 2009 09:03:48 GMT</pubDate><guid>http://yedda.com/questions/start_preschool_planning_5181100213273/problem_children_autism_ADHD_CRAVE_504116273289993?src=rss:qb:qbi</guid></item></channel></rss>
