How can we stop all this madness? Obama is driving me crazy with this invistigation of waterboarding? What is the problem? No one was beheaded or lost a finger or any other limp unlike some of our People which they seem to overlook. Why do they continue to look back on Bush's term he is out Obama is in.. Is Obama that insecure that he has to tear down Bush like this?

U)On February 7,2002, President Bush signed a memorandum stating that the Third Geneva Convention did not apply to the conflict with al Qaeda and concluding that Taliban detainees were not entitled to prisoner of war status or the legal protections afforded by the Third Geneva Convention.

The President’s order closed off application of Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions, which would have afforded minimum standards for humane treatment, to al Qaeda or Taliban detainees. While the President’s order stated that, as “a matter of policy, the United States Armed Forces shall continue to treat detainees humanely and, to the extent appropriate and consistent with military necessity, in a manner consistent with the principles of the Geneva Conventions,” the decision to replace well established military doctrine, i.e., legal compliance with the Geneva Conventions, with a policy subject to interpretation, impacted the treatment of detainees in U.S. custody.

No one should be above the law, not even President Bush and Vice President Cheney. They should be investigated if they ordered torture and went against the Geneva Convention.

It's a smoke screen only. My bet is that in the next few days or weeks we will hear from Obama that we have to spend billions more money for some other worthy cause he believes in. I think he just got this started to throw us all off guard for the big super punch. I believe it might have something to do with the "Banks" and the so called "Stress Test" that Obama won't allow a word of it to be shared yet. It's loke Obama is a "Drama Queen" from high school.

I sure hope "Harsh Words" will be enough to make you happy the very next time America has to defend itself. Are you serious? Freedom isn't "Free"-you live in the real world. When are you going to wake up? This action is nothing more than a repeat of the 1692 Witch Hunt in Salem! Those people are the bad guys and you folks who are holier than need be are living in a rose colored world. Yikes-you will force the CIA and every living soldier to be afraid of standing up for our country. What are you made of? I'm a woman and and a Christian even I would waterboard the creeps!

Since you brought it up and I didn't, you say that you are a Christian. Then my question would be, since you wear the name of Christ, why would you waterboard them? Do you think Christ would? If you wear his name and profess him as your savior, why would you do something even your savior would not do?

Like the scripture says, everybody that says to me Lord, Lord, shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Only those that does the will of my Father in heaven.

Because I live in this world too. It also says in the Bible "Do not judge others lest ye be judged". God will be my judge. I believe in protecting America from those that wish to do her harm. We are at war no matter what the new administration wishes to call it. We are not out picking up innocent people and waterboarding them. They are terrorists.

Jesus cared about this world too, that's why he died. I never heard him say let's waterboerd them. As a matter of fact even as he was dying he said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". He never once cried out from the cross waterboard them.

What makes you more special than him? If he could love even from the cross, what makes you love this world so much that you would want to torture? If he had not died for your sins, you would be facing more than waterboarding. As a matter of fact you would be welcoming the water. Be Blessed

That is not torture! Waterboarding may be uncomfortable and wear a person down over time but that is why the procedure was used. I'm sure the bad guys out there weren't the slightest bit concerned when they killed 3000 people on 9/11, or when they cut off Daniel Pearl's head. I'm just not too worried about what the Lord will think about me standing up against the bad guys. He knows my heart. He also died for our sins. Which by the way- I thank him for that ever day.

If it came to be-and I hope it never does-I would defend myself and my country by any type of means necessary. I guess that is why some people receive the "purple heart" and some don't . It's kind of like the difference between what should have happened and didn't when Hitler marched all of the Jews to death camp. I'll go down fighting and I darn well expect my Governement to defend me any way they can to spare my country. Since Pelosi thinks it's torture and lies about her knowledge then I say to her she should be put under oath. I feel "vested" in this country since my ancestors came here in 1630 as well as all legal Americans should. If you aren't willing to stand up for your neighbor and defend this country then why do you live here? The answer is simple-it's the best country on the face of the earth and we have to continue to protect it from the enemy-by any means necessary.

To me, We are paying off everyone who helped elect him!! Just one persons opinion..

Which as of Today I am still allowed to have and share.. I want him stopped before he destroys everything good. There is no way he can be transparent when he is just as sneaky as the next.. He was and still is nothing out talk, A PETER PAN FOR THE MASSES. which we do not need..We cannot afford his world..

I agree waterboarding is not a truly horrible method of torturing someone. When we were children we use to hose people down in fun!!! Even when people leave certain joibs they put them in chair a hose them down. It's a fun clean, safe way of fun.. Now I realize there waterboarding is a little different, but we are Angels comopared to them. Do you think you would be waterboarded over there no they go straight to Murder! Oh I am a born again Christian too, But God gave a brains, to use.. I love my Country with all the good and the bad it is still the best going.. We just need to get back to the good Values we were founded on.. STOP THE GREED, LIES, backstabbing.. Lets make America the Bold and Beautiful again.. I am a PROUD American not ARROGANT.. Obama funds $20M in tax payer dollars to immigrate Hamas Refugees to the USA . This is the news that didn ' t make the headlines...

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the Palestinian refugees and "conflict victims" in Gaza .
*The "presidential determination", which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States , was signed and appears in the Federal Register.

Few on Capitol Hill, or in the media, took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

Let's review....itemized list of some of Barack Obama ' s most recent actions since his inauguration:

His first call to any head of state, as president, was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.

His first one-on-one television interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.

His first executive order was to fund/facilitate abortion(s) not just here within the U. S. , but within the world, using U. S. tax payer funds.

He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.

He ordered overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.*
He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and the "terror attack" on 9/11.

Now we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to, and live in, the US at American taxpayer expense.
These important, and insightful, issues are being "lost" in the blinding bail-outs and "stimulation" packages.
